Airtel free internet trick 2017:-Airtel is now offering 60 GB internet for free to postpaid users on downloading the Airtel TV app. The free data would be given over a period of 6 months where users will get 10 GB data each month.
Earlier Airtel was offering 30 GB free data (10 GB data every month for 3 months), but has not increased benefits except for the additional 30 GB that it is offering now.Airtel customers can avail the offer by going to the MyAirtel app which would prompt them to download the Airtel TV app to get free data. Only on doing so, the customers will be able to receive the additional data.

With the offer, the telco seems to push its Airtel TV app which offers live TV and OTTcontent from Eros Now, HOOQ, Sony LIV, YouTube and Dailymotion. By offering content to Airtel users, the app can ensure data consumption by the telco’s users similar to the way Reliance Jio offers content apps to its users to drive data usage on its own network.
Grabbing high ARPU customers, push for online, data consumption and drive towards more postpaid customers are some of Airtel’s plans and targets for India. Therefore the move can be seen as a means to achieve the same through postpaid offerings.
Airtel had mentioned in its investor presentation that data usage has shot up from 123 MB per user per month to 1006 MB per subscriber per month in March 2017.
